Staff were extremely friendly. Meals in Restaurant were lovely and I thought they were very reasonably priced. It is directly across the road from talking tram and Deborah Goldmine. Very good bakery close walking distance and a Coles Express beside it. A little bit far from centre of things. Also I would have liked room cleaned during our 5 night stay. But we were allowed to ask for fresh towels from reception, when we needed them. All in all we enjoyed our stay but would probably get a bigger family room if possible.

Bendigo may only be the fourth largest city in Victoria (behind Geelong and Ballarat) but it punches way above its weight for charm, history, architecture, fine dining and just plain fun. There's always lots to see and do but whenever Bendigo puts on a special event - like the Agricultural Show, or the Easter Festival, it's always spectacular.

Wonderful historical town with lots to do and see. We had many wonderful good experiences and enjoyed being able to walk or catch the tram to a variety of destinations. Pratty's Patch was the most amazing place to eat with wonderful customer service and generous meals.

This time visited for one night only, for a single purpose. However Bendigo has much to recommend it, parks, galleries, gardens, museums and many dining options, and it is very walkable. The public art gallery has many special exhibitions worth a visit. Train from Melbourne is a good way to travel there.

Bendigo lacks TYPE 2 EV car charging. They are often used by Tesla owners but I'm not a Tesla owner. However, I can use the old style Tesla chargers just as any other people driving non Tesla type 2 plug vehicles can use them. The new wiz bang ev chargers they have at one shopping centre are LOCKED for Tesla only and there are very few other options for non Tesla vehicles that have a tethered cable. While Tesla drivers charge their car at the shopping centre for free everyone else is discriminated against. Most have to pay to charge their cars. All Tesla charging stations have tethered cables but a lot of other companies that offer type 2 don't bother with a cable and expect you to bring your own. I already carry an AC charger to plug into a power point so I don't need an extra thing to carry. I believe there is a type 2 free charging in Bendigo at a Tafe/Uni however, it has petrol cars parked in the space. Bendigo need EV CHARGERS for all plug types that have a cable tethered to the charger. Petrol only cars should be fined for parking in an EV only space and the EV spaces should be free for the first one or two hours to make it fair for everyone. I'm disappointed in the lack of cafes open on a Sunday. Even some retailers are closed in shopping centres.

Always lots to see and do recommend using the tram to get on and off. Some places the food is a bit pretentious$30 dollars for lunch is a bit over the top and hard to find a top place reasonably priced for dinner, bit this might have been us looking in the wring spit, had a great breakfast at Bendigo Brew House, a flat white pot of tea and a bacon and egg sandwich $17.70 so much bacon could of made 2 easy from it. The gardens are a delight recommend watching the bats fly at dusk. A visit to the gallery is well worth the time even when no special display(its free then too) shops are great if you need a bit of retail therapy
